Budget

~". . . chart a course for every endeavor that we take the people's money for, see how well we are progressing, tell the public how we are doing, stop the things that don't work, and never stop improving the things that we think are worth investing in.".

As prescribed by Washington State Law, the Finance Department submits a proposed budget for City Council review and adoption each year.

At the first Council Meeting in October the Budget Analyst delivers the proposed budget to City Council and presents its major themes and issues. This presentation sets the stage for budget presentations and public hearings to follow through October, November and December.
