2017 Volunteer Opportunities
Please join members of Poulsbo's Fish Park steering committee each month to do needed park tasks. These stewardship activities add value to our community, both in commitment and matching time for state grants. These events are great for the whole family, and are held the 3rd Sunday of each month (*with some exceptions) from 1:00-4:00 pm at the park. If you would like to be added to the monthly email notification list, please email email@example.com
2016: Sunday, December 18
Development of the west side of Dogfish Creek was partially completed in 2008, and included a parking lot, entry way improvements, a pedestrian walkway, plantings, interpretive signage, and the addition of a sculpture.
In the fall of 2009, additional improvements are taking shape: The Poulsbo Rotary Club and Poulsbo Lions Club have improved the two pedestrian bridges that cross the creek; the Rotary Club is renovating the overlook near the creek; and the building of two pergolas and installation of two picnic tables will complete much of the 2009 work. Urban Paths of Poulsbo
The creation of a city-wide trail plan for the City of Poulsbo was adopted in June 2012. This plan will also look at connecting to regional trail systems to the south and north of the city.
North Kitsap Regional Event Center
The North Kitsap Regional Events Center master plan provides a long term vision that will improve the quality of life for people within the North Kitsap School District boundaries (including the communities of Poulsbo, Hansville, Keyport, Indiannola, Kingston and Port Gamble) and those living on Bainbridge Island. The Events Center will be an easily reached, identifiable community focal point where people gather to socialize, participate in cultural activities and recreate. It also will accommodate regional sports tournaments.
