General Facilities/Fleet Maintenance
The General Facilities Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of light and heavy-duty vehicles, off-road equipment, heavy machinery and small equipment owned and operated by the City under the direction of the Assistant Public Works Superintendent.
This responsibility includes the routine maintenance and repair of equipment/vehicles along with the acquisition and resale of all vehicles used in City operations. This department also manages the purchasing, storing and distribution of fuels and automotive parts, and other fleet related duties.
Fleet Maintenance/General Facilities is supported by its users and funding is derived from charges associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles/equipment.
