The Municipal Clerk is one of the oldest public servant professions in local government. In the Middle Ages, the title "Clerk" (from the Latin clericus) came to mean a scholar, secretary, accountant and recorder.
The City of Poulsbo Clerk's Department, among many other things, handles records, licenses, and permits for the city.
