MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to enrich the quality of life by serving the community’s needs for quality and affordable educational and recreational programs, parks and services to all residents and visitors.

It is the vision of the Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Department to be the heart of a healthy community through sustainable, safe, and diverse programs and open spaces, where all residents and visitors feel inspired to live, play, learn, and thrive.

Recreation Programs, Classes, Activities and Special Events
Poulsbo Parks and Recreation offices are located at 19540 Front Street, just one block north of Martha and Mary Health Care Center.
Our office hours are:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-7:00 pm. Closed for lunch daily from 11 am-12 pm.
Saturday, 9:30 am-1:30 pm.

If you enjoy visiting Poulsbo’s beautiful parks or take part in some of the recreational activities and special events that are hosted in Poulsbo each year, you now have a new way to become involved from the ground level. The Parks and Recreation Gifts and Donations brochure gives you ideas about contributing time, money or supplies. We are becoming more efficient in how we get information to you! We have halted the production of the paper versions of our Activity Guide and are no longer mailing them out. A pdf version is available by clicking on the Class & Activity Guide quick link to your right, and we are encouraging people to view our online catalog and register online. Please call us at 360-779-9898 or email us at parksrec@cityofpoulsbo.com to be sure you’re on our email notification list. Interested in teaching a class through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation?
We know that there are many talented people in the community who might be interested in teaching classes through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation. You don’t need to be a certified teacher, but do need to have the interest and desire to teach others. Whether it be a foreign language, arts & crafts class, gardening, cooking or youth program, we’d like to hear from you! Please fill out the course proposal form and e-mail it to parksrec@cityofpoulsbo.com, or mail it in to the address on the form, and one of the recreation programmers will get in touch with you.
Interested in working for Poulsbo Parks and Recreation?
Poulsbo Parks and Recreation occasionally needs instructors and assistant instructors for programs, as well as recreation aides for monitoring gyms, basketball referees, and on-call administrative support staff at our front desk.
