NEW!! Veterans Yoga Project

Poulsbo Parks & Recreation is proud to partner with Veterans Yoga Project to bring trauma-informed, mindful resilience yoga classes to our community at no cost to those who serve and support our nation. Beginning September 11, 2025, we invite all Veterans, Active-Duty Military, and First Responders to join us for free weekly yoga classes designed to support physical and mental well-being through breath, movement, and relaxation.

For our seniors, we are happy to announce the return of our weekly free Coffee and a Class gatherings on Wednesdays after a summer hiatus. Interested in learning pickleball? A representative from Pickleball Kingdom will be here the first Wednesday to show you how to play on our back court. Some of our other many topics include an Inflammation Workshop, A Plant-Based Challenge with your favorite Nutritionist, Sam Rader, two potlucks, painting, visits with City Manager Rob Gelder, the Poulsbo Historical Society’s Judy Driscoll and Carrina Longstraat from the Poulsbo Library, and many more. There’s something for everyone, and it’s free, so come join us! Our popular free Lifelong Fitness class will also continue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Are you interested in a new family activity? We have some great new art classes, such as Fused Glass Ornaments (7+), DIY Pinecone Wreaths (10+), and Candlemaking for Beginners (16+), plus returning favorites such as Paint Night (all ages.) For those families who love the outdoors, Wildlife in Washington will teach you and your kids all about our local flora and fauna (held indoors, so no rain!)

If you are an adult looking for something new, we have all kinds of new art & crafts classes, including Acrylic Painting, Portrait and Anime Character Drawing, Designing Dishes and Dinnerware, and more! For the gardeners amongst us, we’ve got a class to help you plan our Fall Garden. Already an avid gardener? Maybe you’d like to find out how to apply for the Washington State Backyard Habitat Certification.

For our fitness enthusiasts, our growing fitness program offers something for everyone, whether you want a chair-based gentle yoga, or want the hardest workout you can do. Try our new Yogalates class!

We have new programs to keep our energetic youth busy as well, from new dance and art classes to sports. We’re bringing back our popular Preschool Sports and Youth Soccer programs, as well as new Flag Football. Both have indoor and outdoor options. Does your child attend Wolfle or Suquamish Elementary? Check out our after-school programs, including a new Tumbling class!

Parents, are you ready for a date night or later, need to get some holiday shopping in without the kids? Let us keep the kids entertained for you! We are offering a new program, Fun Fridays, once a month, that will include multi-media art, pizza and a movie while you go out and have some fun! Closer to the holidays, we offer Elf Escape, so you can do some last-minute shopping while the kids do a variety of activities. We also have seven holiday break camps this year!

Sometimes changes occur or programs are added after the pdf of the activity guide is published. For the most up-to-date program information, click the Online Registration link to view our online catalog.
